:)

I have looked around a bit, but I will ask the question here so that perhaps I can understand 100% what to do.

I would like to try to bump up a Sempron 2400+ box version with an Asrock K7S41 motherboard that arrives tomorrow.

What mods, if any, can I make, and please explain what guide to use - I don't really need to overclock the CPU, but if I can get more speed for the same $$$ I would like to try.

Welcome in our forum and sorry for the late answer ... :snore:

With this newest Sempron it' just possible to adjust the FSB over the BIOS of your mainboard or if you like to mod your CPU a little bit, it's possible to use the interactive painting guide, change it to a mobile processor and overclock it with software like CPUMSR :)

Thank you!!! - any answer is welcome!:)

I think I saw that painting the L5 over makes the chip into the mobile version - does this have any other benefits, like lower power usage/heat production, and it is better to play with the CPUMSR than just pushing the FSB up? I think it is anyway 333MHz, and the RAM is only cheaper 2.5CL 333.
