Review of postings for how do i increase multiplier on a 1400 tbird (the latest posts first)

i think increasing the fsb is the only possibility

is your mainboard able to run @ 133mhz fsb?

No, its only a 100mhz, so I assume it will be 14*100 when I install it.

So i still need to know how to increase the multiplier by changing the bridges on the cpu itself. I will be installing it in 3 days(waiting on heatsink) so I need to know by then! Otherwise i will just overclock the fsb.

thing is about that wpcredit program, it is possible to change motherboard settings like agp mode speed and ram settings. Thats why I think it may be possible to change the multiplier through the program as there is a bit of it that looks like a multiplier part( has different numbers, currently at 7(which is what i have))

#edit:
i just closed the quote tag

there's no prog available to change the multiplier.
is your mainboard able to run @ 133mhz fsb? (chipset kt133a or newer)
if it is lower the multiplier @10.5 and set the fsb to 133 so that you're able to clock higher from there

connecting the l1 is not possible, because they are connected already

Hi, my 1st post.

I have just bought a tbird 1400 and havnt yet installed it. Anyway, I have a motherboard that DOES NOT allow me to change the multiplier.
So I did some searching and found this place, and the guide showing how to change the bridges. BUT that only shows how to get it upto 12.5!

mine will be 14 when i install, so I need to get it higher, maybe to 15.

Anyone know what bridges I would alter to get it to 15 or 15.5?

btw, I have connected the l1 bridges because I did not know this was possible, and there is a program called WPCREDIT that I thought I might be able to use to change the multiplier. Has anyone tried that, because seems like no one has. There is a register that is at 7 (1000) and I was thinking that when I upgrade I might be able to change that to a higher number for my new tbird. (i have a duron 700)

thanx in advance, please help me out if you can.
