unlock a locked barton 2600+ -4

AMD Athlon XP	there´s a way to unlocked it.. i think that my xp´s bartons r locked (412) cause the bridges seems to be covered ..i just see a shadow of the bridge...peharps if i scratch them i could get contact? i just would like to mod my xp to mp....to run with my a7m266-d still have a chance to do it? .. thx

I think your processor looks like this one ...

Yes, this is no problem and the cover over the bridges doesn't tell you, that your processor is locked.
Just scratch the two inner "MP" bridge points a little bit an connect them.
Or if you like to have the MP processor for ever, you don't need to scratch anything and just fill the lasercut with conductive paint - for this bridge it doesn't matter if you have any insulation.

And if your CPU have a manufacturing date before week 43 of 2004 your chances are very well, that your're also able to change the multiplier with the interactive pin-mod guide

AMD Athlon XP

Help!!

i tried to fill the laser holes with two diferent kinds of paint n nothing happened...

..then i jump to the scratch mode..with a small needle.. after, one of my bartons 2600+ is running in 1533hz with 133 fsb...but the other is running in 1000hz fsb 133...the vcore is 1.68 n the other goes to 1.65 to 1.68...( is it normal?)....what is happening..? m´i doing somth wrong or ...worst: did i do somth wrong?.. maybe is the one running in 1000hz bad?broken...

the bios of my asus a7m266-d is the 1005 beta version. the last?
my ddr are 2x 512/400 kingston.

help please!!....thx!!
