L1 and L7 Pencil Help -2

Greetings Overclockers, I just bought a Duron 600. The thing will crank to 1000 MHz easy. I used the classic pencil trick with the recommended lead, boosting the voltage to 1.85 with L7 and unlocking L1. I am using an MSI KT133 mainboard. It worked for about 6 hours. I have used the trick in the past, and it has worked for months. Anyhow, I was running CPU Burn, a program to get it hot, and it crashed, not unexpected. Anyhow, upon reboot, it posted at 600 MHz. Strange I thought, I checked PC health status in the bios, and it was back to default voltage, and changing the multiplier had no effect. This is WIERD.

So I took out the CPU, re-applied the pencil traces to L1 and L7, reinstalled the CPU, and it worked during the first post. It posted at 1000MHz then after post, it froze with a black screen. It reset back to 600 and default voltage. Changing the multiplier in the bios has no effect on the multiplier, it continues to post at 600MHz.

Please help, or offer me your best suggestion as to what is happening. In the meantime, I'll try some scotch tape over top my pencil traces. But the wierd thing is, I've never needed that tape before. Could it be that by increasing voltage with the bridges the chip is somehow shorting the pencil markings? With visual inspection, the pencil markings do not look broken in any way. Thanks for your help.

Intel Core i9 3600 MHz @ 5200 MHz 78°C mit 1.552 Volt	Found the solution sounds good I think there's a problem with your L1 bridges e.g. minimal "corrosion" on the bridges so that the contact of the pencil doesn't work the way you want to.
