Vor kurzem hat ATI eine neue VPU angekündigt, welche die aktuellen GeForce Karten noch mal übertreffen soll. Nun sind auch genauere Daten bekannt. Der Chip nennt sich R360 (Radeon 9900) und ist eine Weiterentwicklung des R300/R350 (Radeon 9700/Radeon 9800). Die Radeon 9900 Pro Karte wird über eine solche VPU verfügen und über folgende technische Daten verfügen:

Coretakt: 420 MHz
Ram: 256 MB DDR-2 Ram, 256 Bit Interface
Ramtakt: 400 MHz (Real)
