I wanted to underclock (shock! horror!). Am i right in thinking that i can just pin mod to, say, down o ~1.5V and decrease multiplier, down  to say 4x using your pin-mod as guide?
Thnaks in advance

hmm, i'm not so good on the thoroughbred, but i think the max. default voltage should be 1,75V, so your board seems to overvolt, indeed. i think the multiplier of your cpu should be unlocked, so you should be able to apply pinmod concerning the multi straight ahead, but again - double-check. as to the voltage you need to sever all but the first L11-bridges, which brings you down to 1,475V (+several% on your board). having done this, you can gradually increase voltage using the pinmod guide until you have a satisfactory stable and also cool system ;)

go here to check out, how your L11 should look for certain voltagees.

Hi,
I've been looking through your excellent pin-mod page for the XP/Barton/Thro. I have a thoroughbred 2600+. Unfortunately it sits on an Asus A7n8x-VM mobo (microatx): it has a Vcore of >1.8V and runs hot!
Unfortunately, the Asus has a primative BIOS. I am unable to decrease the Vcore (Asus, it seems to me always overvolt) or decrease the multiplier. It seems to detect this on some "auto" default from chip.

I wanted to underclock (shock! horror!). Am i right in thinking that i can just pin mod to, say, down o ~1.5V and decrease multiplier, down  to say 4x using your pin-mod as guide?
Thnaks in advance
