Ein Ausdruck des Beitrags mit 2 Antworten ergibt bei 3 Antworten pro Seite ca. 1 DIN A4 Seiten. Das entspricht bei 80 g/m² ca. 4.99 Gramm Papier.

AFAIK all mobile cpus are unlocked, otherwise speedstep wouldn't work. ;)
So if you are able to set all other settings on your mainboard, you don't have to cut anything.
But not all multipliers should work, you have to test though.

I'd like to get an XP Mobile cpu and use the wire-in-the-socket method. Do I need to cut anything on the cpu?

I'll be increasing the voltage from 1.45 to 1.68, and setting a higher multiplier. I thought perhaps setting the bus to 166 by motherboard jumper would be enough for that, but could throw on the wire.
