These problems mainly are connected to nForce2 boards.;)

But you have a via chip. So don't be hesitant to do the mobile mod:thumb:

Look here:
Mobile Mod
You only need to connect the blue "line" to have a Mobile.
But I read some Boards or CPUs made problems after the Mobile Mod.

Sry for my bad English ^^

You have to read this page in order to know how to cut/close the bridges on yourCPU;)

But I'm not quite sure what bridges you exactly have to close. I think all L5 bridges.

But don't do anything, as long as you don't know what to do

I think somebody else knows what bridges you have to close;)

Your CPU definitely is locked. The 0403 points on the year and the week it was made in. 3rd week in 2004.

The only thing you can do in order to overclock your Cpu is doing a mobile mod.

the pinmod on this site sets one specific multi, which you can't change except by another pinmod:thumb:

Doing the mobile mod(you can get instructions for this on this site too)
will give you the possibility to change the multi on the fly in windows.

But I got the impression that you didn't really know if your CPU is unlocked or not. You can find out by posting the text, that is written on the CPU;)

ok, but if i try to unlock the multiplier and to set a specific value for the multi (es x10) through the pin guide of this site, can i have an unlocked cpu?. so can it run stable at 10 x 200?

thanks

When it's not possible to unlock the Multi, you can try the mobile Mod, to get a mobile CPU, if it works you can change the multi via Software in you operating system!!!

i have this system:
mainboard: asus a7v880 (via kt 880)
Ram: 256 mb x2 pc 3200 cas latency 3
graphic card: asus v9950 ge (ge force fx 5900)
hard disk: maxtor 80 gb ata 133

now, how can i do to know if my cpu is unlockable?, and if it shoud be unlockable there is some other way to unlock the multiplier?

thanks

there is another possibility
newer CPUs are not unlockable
if you want to find that out just test an multiplier thats lower than the actual multi your CPU is runin with
just try if 14 or lower will work
if your multi is still 15 you have an not unlockeable CPU

Hello an welcome in the ocinside forum:ocinside:

I think your problem, as you explained it, is, that the voltage (vcore) you give to your cpu is less than it needs.

So if the temperatures are low, you can try to give more Vcore. possibly after that it'll run stable.

But it would be better for us to know the other components of your system, ram, mainboard, to help you in the best way we could.

(sorry if my english is not the best, I hope you can understand);)
